    Earlier today, the Australian Podcast Awards announced their nominations in this video. All Australian podcasts can take part in the Listener's Choice Award, as explained by a scruffy man in a cheap shirt about 22 minutes in. The awards will be in Sydney on 2 Dec.

    The winners of the Australian Podcast Awards will be announced in a live stream tomorrow at 7.30pm AEDT. "Our host, Lucinda 'Froomes' Price, will lead us through our categories and special awards and we'll be seeing our 100 nominees in person, live from their homes too. What could possibly go wrong!"

    Entries are now open for the Australian Podcast Awards. The awards are open to every podcast in Australia, "whether you're on your own in the kitchen, or work with a large team in a fancy studio complex". You've got until September 25th to pick your categories and create 15 minute best-of MP3s. (Podnews is a supporter; our Editor is an organiser).

    The Australian Podcast Awards are back for 2020, with plans to reflect the growing Australian podcast sector. The event moves from May to early November: entries open in July. "We’ll be delivering an even bigger ceremony and want to be even more representative of Australia’s audio makers," says founder Dave Gertler.
