- Dec 24, 2024: Something we didn’t spot at the time: SXM Media withdrew from the US Triton Digital ranker in October. We gather another large publisher is out of Triton’s ranker from Jan 1. Triton Digital is owned by a competing podcast network: iHeart, and in New York, the company moved into iHeart’s offices in November.
- Dec 11, 2024: There’s a new #1 podcast in Australia, according to the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker. Casefile True Crime, which last month switched to Acast, has beaten Hamish & Andy for the first time since February. ARN remains top publisher; SCA’s LiSTNR is top sales representative, but ARN is now less than 250,000 listeners behind it, and the recent addition of BBC shows should push it over.
- Nov 22, 2024: Triton Digital released podcast rankers for Canada and the United States. Lemonada Media is newly listed in both.
- Nov 21, 2024: BBC Studios are to use Triton Digital for audio advertising and analytics tools for podcasts outside the UK, making the broadcaster’s podcasts available to over fifty ad exchanges on Triton’s global Audio Marketplace. The BBC continues to work with Acast, who are “excited to continue working together to grow the podcast market globally”.
- Nov 20, 2024: The Australian Podcast Ranker was released for October. Triton Digital is set to introduce a new ranker capability that will rank the podcast category by monthly listener, and integrate Triton Demos+ data.
