- Aug 29: Triton Digital released its Canada Podcast Ranker for July. With no change in the top 5, CBC’s Front Burner remains #1; CBC/Radio-Canada remains the #1 network.
- Aug 27: Triton Digital has confirmed that it has dropped its rankers of publishers and sales representatives in Australia. A Triton Digital representative told us that removing the list of publishers was in order to get more publishers taking part: “The primary purpose of the Ranker is to provide a comprehensive snapshot of the podcast landscape, which can only be achieved through the involvement of as many publishers as possible. To support this, we’ve shifted the focus towards collective industry engagement, transforming the Ranker from a competitive tool into a unified resource for the sector. This change removes perceived barriers to participation, empowering more publishers to get involved.”
- Aug 21: Triton Digital released the Australian Podcast Ranker for May. It appears the ranker no longer lists top publishers and sales houses. In a separate release, ARN’s iHeart claims it reaches over 7mn listeners and 24.7mn downloads - we’d suspect that still means it’s #1.
- Aug 20: At Podcast Movement, Triton Digital released its “Next-Gen” podcast ranker and planning tools.
- Jul 23: Barrett Media publishes Why Triton Digital Exec Sharon Taylor Thinks Podcasting Is Losing Sight of Its Audio Origins. “As the video audience grows and the audio audience remains, my message to the industry is, ‘Hey, don’t forget that you’ve got a ton of people who love audio.’”
