- Sep 23: Earlier this month, we mentioned that the Earwolf signature studio table had been “taken away” after the closure of its New York studio. Good news: SiriusXM’s Director of Podcast AdOps Kelsey Butterworth - who started working at Earwolf in 2016 - “staged a daring 11th hour rescue” with Jared O’Connell. The tables are now safe and sound at an undisclosed location north of the city, awaiting their next adventure.
- Sep 12: SiriusXM’s Earwolf, which suffered layoffs earlier in the year, closed its New York studio last week. Jared O’Connell took a photograph of the autographed signature studio table before it was taken away. He links to a full resolution image for your zooming pleasure.
- Jan 29: There have been a number of layoffs at SiriusXM, impacting the podcast teams and Earwolf. Podnews understands that 100 roles were impacted, representing 2% of the workforce, along with a number of changes to the company’s structure. The CEO Jennifer Witz called it a “profoundly challenging day”. One of those included is Amelia Chappelow, who was Executive Producer at Earwolf.

The show discusses her career path – from cellist for Cursive and Bright Eyes to an intern at the Village Voice, to producer at WNYC and Earwolf, and then founding her own company.
- Jul 25, 2024: Comedy Bang Bang: The Podcast has signed a multi-year extension with SiriusXM's Earwolf. The show will also release archive episodes. Scott Aukerman, the host, is currently on a 30-city international tour.
