Riverside upgrade brings transcription and text-editing

• Remote recording tool Riverside has unveiled a significant update adding text-based editing and AI transcription features.

• Instreamatic has launched a new contextual audio ad platform today, which creates audio ads in real time. Here’s an example, featuring Tom Hanks - or, at least, an AI clone.

• At Radiodays Europe, it was announced that UK daily news podcast The News Agents had reached 24 million downloads since launching seven months ago. The show is hosted by Captivate.

• Data: Jean-Louis Queguiner posts the breakdown of podcasts by language. English accounts for 60.9% of shows (though only 20% of the world speaks it).

• PRX has announced the cohorts of the second PRX Journalism Podcast Accelerator.
