In The Top 10 for the first time: Former YouTuber turned podcast host Stephanie Soo joined the SiriusXM Podcast Network recently with her show Rotten Mango. The true crime podcast picked up some PR when it was prominently featured in the YouTube press release about YouTube’s one billion monthly users. The show makes its debut in the Top 10 U.S. podcasts at #8 this quarter.
In the Top 50 for the first time: The Mel Robbins Podcast, hosted by New York Times best-selling self-help author Mel Robbins, debuts in the Top 50 in Q1 2025 at an incredible #15. Robbins has attracted millions of followers on social media as her “Let Them” theory about eschewing others’ judgement and opinions has gone viral.
Also making its appearance for the first time in the Top 50 is Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast at #50. Hosts Matt McCusker and Shane Gillis’s comedy podcast began with video podcasts on Spotify. Gillis continues to garner attention, most recently hosting Saturday Night Live for a second time and as part of a high-profile pop-up show with Zach Bryan before the Super Bowl.
The podcast show ranker is derived from data collected continuously during the first quarter of 2024, interviewing 5,068 weekly podcast consumers ages 13 and older in the U.S. Participants indicate which podcasts they listened to in the past week along with a variety of demographic, psychographic, and purchase-behavior information. This ranker measures reach as a percentage of the weekly podcast listening audience.
