- Aug 18: Libsyn has launched “PodRoll with Libsyn”, a new discovery and monetisation tool that enables dynamic feed drops directly within the Libsyn platform. Promoted episodes appear in the second most recent episode slot of podcast feeds, labeled “You Might Also Like,” and include the artwork and direct links for the promoted show.
- Aug 14: Libsyn has announced it has now paid over $100mn in creator payouts. Year-on-year, the company paid-out 40% more revenue between Jan-Jul 2025. Senior members of the team will be at Podcast Movement next week.
- Jul 17: Bob Kane is to leave Libsyn at the end of this month. The current Canadian Country Manager for Libsyn Ads, Bob was a co-founder of The Podcast Exchange, and has also worked with CBC and Corus Entertainment. A friendly face at any Canadian media conference, he tells Podnews “I’m not done,” and is open to opportunities.
- Jul 3: The total number of new podcast episodes published in June was 4.7% fewer than in May on a normalised basis, says Livewire. Spotify for Creators saw a small decrease, but still retained its leading market share of 26.6% of new episodes. Spreaker (at 15%) and Buzzsprout (at 8.7%) saw increases in share, as did Podbean and Libsyn. Amazon Cloudfront still serves the majority of podcast episodes (now 60.79% of them).
- Jun 27: Ausha has achieved compliance with IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines v2.2. The IAB requires companies to recertify annually to remain in the list; but, outside that timeframe but still listed by the IAB as compliant are Podigee (who haven’t recertified for two years), Libsyn, Audion, Podtrac and Mediastream.
