ML Elrick’s ML Soul of Detroit, a podcast in the city, has been yanked by his employer, TV channel WJBK Fox 2. The abrupt “pause” for the podcast happened after an episode was critical about DTE Energy, who advertises heavily on the Fox-owned station.

The BBC has announced that a second season of Have You Heard George’s Podcast? from George the Poet will be on BBC Sounds this quarter. At this year’s British Podcast Awards it won four gold awards, two silver and Podcast of the Year.

The CBC have launched Podcasts In Class, custom-made lesson plans, slides, handouts, homework and even videos, featuring the hosts of CBC Podcasts. The teaching materials are available for free to teachers in Canada and across the world.

More Banana, who we reported last month was crowdfunding, has successfully hit its funding goal. It creates “edgy, fun comedy podcasts entirely hosted and produced by women and non-binary creators”.
