  • The recent announcement that Spotify is supplying podcasts to Delta Airlines isn’t the first time podcasts have been seen on planes: in fact, as we show above, a limited (and usually out-dated) selection is available on most plane entertainment systems.   • ML Elrick’s ML Soul of Detroit, a podcast in the city, has been yanked by his employer, TV channel WJBK Fox 2. The abrupt “pause” for the podcast happened after an episode was critical about DTE Energy, who advertises heavily on the Fox-owned station.

  • The BBC has announced that a second season of Have You Heard George’s Podcast? from George the Poet will be on BBC Sounds this quarter. At this year’s British Podcast Awards it won four gold awards, two silver and Podcast of the Year.
