Was macht große Kunst aus? Darf man Beuys einen Scharlatan nennen? Muss man Botticelli lieben? Mit Leidenschaft, Fachwissen und Witz entführen die beiden Gastgeber einmal im Monat ihre Zuhörerinnen und Zuhörer in die wunderbare Welt der Kunst. Jede Folge widmet sich einem Künstler oder einer Künstlerin, ihren biografischen Wendungen, ihren besten Werken, ihren seltsamsten Ansichten. Überraschende Telefonjoker bieten jeweils neue Einblicke. Und am Ende hat jeder – auch mit geschlossenen Augen – einen Kopf voller Bilder.
Florian Illies schreibt, seit er denken und sehen kann, über Kunst. Er gründete nach seinem Kunstgeschichtsstudium das Magazin “Monopol” und war lange Jahre Leiter des Auktionshauses Villa Grisebach. Er ist Autor der Bücher “1913" und “Generation Golf” und Mitglied des Herausgeberrats der ZEIT.
Giovanni di Lorenzo ist Chefredakteur der ZEIT und ein leidenschaftlicher Kunstliebhaber.
