- Dec 11: There’s a new #1 podcast in Australia, according to the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker. Casefile True Crime, which last month switched to Acast, has beaten Hamish & Andy for the first time since February. ARN remains top publisher; SCA’s LiSTNR is top sales representative, but ARN is now less than 250,000 listeners behind it, and the recent addition of BBC shows should push it over.
- Sep 2: Meanwhile, in Oct 2022, SCA’s LiSTNR announced that it was to represent Wondery shows. With the addition of New Heights to Wondery’s slate, SCA has added New Heights to LiSTNR and will represent that show in Australia.
- Aug 14: ARN’s iHeart is #1 publisher (for listeners); the ABC is #1 publisher (for downloads); SCA’s LiSTNR is #1 sales representative.
- Jul 17: The ABC claims more shows in the top 200 than anyone else, while LiSTNR is the #1 sales network and iHeart is the #1 podcast publisher by listeners. The ranker measures participating publishers only.
- May 31: In Australia, LiSTNR has partnered with DataCo Technologies to allow advertisers to integrate their own databases with LiSTNR’s 1.95mn first-party database, while respecting privacy. The country has had a number of well-documented data leaks in the last few years, including a health insurer and a cellular phone company.
