  • The Nomono Sound Capsule was launched yesterday and is now shipping. The device includes four wireless lavalier mics and a spatial audio microphone array, and includes a cloud editor and enhancer. It’s priced at $2,490 with an additional, optional, monthly subscription to the cloud editor.

    • Podnews has one for review; we’ll bring you a full look at the device next week.
  • Data: There’s no “big hit” out there for podcasting - podcast listening is highly fragmented, suggests new data from the Pew Research Center. Asking more than 1,500 podcast listeners (who’ve listened over the past year), only six podcasts were mentioned by more than 1% of respondents. Joe Rogan was #1 with 5% (about 78 people); Crime Junkie was #3 with 1% (about 15).

  • Spotify believes that podcast advertising could be easier and more efficient for ad buyers. In an interview to be published later today for the Podcast Business Journal, Nina Harvey says the Spotify Audience Network is “able to bring to an advertiser a single buying point to supply an efficient way to access audiences at scale.” You can subscribe to the Podcast Business Journal here.
