CNN’s deal for video podcasts with Lemonada

A new platform for video podcasts has appeared. CNN has struck a deal with Lemonada Media for video podcasts on CNN’s All Access streaming service. Some existing shows will be made available to CNN subscribers. Unlike recent Netflix deals, though, these shows will continue to be available on all other platforms.
- Netflix announced a new video podcast, The Pete Davidson Show. The video podcast won’t be available on podcast platforms.

A new exchange for creator-led advertising has been launched, ahead of Podfest. Creator Exchange, or CreatorX, is built to address frustrations in the market. “Brands want simpler, more measurable ways to test and scale creator-led advertising, while creators want flexible, non-exclusive monetization without being sidelined, bundled unfairly, or sold with bias.” The Managing Director is Matty Staudt.

The nominations for the iHeartPodcastAwards were announced. The awards will be held at SXSW on Mar 16. There will also be three Icon Awards being presented - to Jay Shetty, Terry Gross and Hrishikesh Hirway.

Podcasts are dead - it’s all about video now, suggests a piece in The Times of London. James Marriott writes “It’s now almost unheard of for a big new podcast to launch without a video stream as well as audio — even if it’s just, as many are, two bleary middle-aged men staring into their Zoom cameras.” Hey!

A “a trailblazing retail destination inspired by the Kelce brothers and their hit show New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce from Wondery” has been launched. Kelce Clubhouse is designed to bring together video of the podcast with merchandise opportunities, including the new book from the brothers, “No Dumb Questions”.

AIR has opened applications for its New Voices AMPLIFY 2026 cohort for independent podcasters. The program is designed for independent podcasters who already have a show and are ready to move beyond production to build clearer strategies for reaching and growing their audiences.

Gemini XII and The Infinite Agency have launched Constellation, a suite of tools to help with creative strategy, paid media, production and distribution, and more. “The line between brand and creator has collapsed,” said The Infinite Agency’s Jonathan Ogle.

Podcast hosting company Podhome now supports the alternateEnclosure feature. Available in some podcast apps (and coming to iHeartRadio), the feature allows audio and video versions of episodes in the same RSS feed.

Starglow Media, which makes kids and family audio content, has been acquired by SuperAwesome. No terms were given; Starglow’s founder Jed Baker will become Head of Audio at SuperAwesome.
