
British Podcast Awards winners and Golden Globes eligibility

The winners of the British Podcast Awards 2025 were announced in a glitzy ceremony at The O~2~. Podcast of the Year went to Kill List (pictured above, Creative Director Willard Foxton). We’ve a full list, including an OPML file for your podcast player.

Meanwhile, the Golden Globes has announced the 25 eligible podcasts for the inaugural Golden Globe Award for best podcast. From the list, six nominees will be announced on Dec 8. If you’re eligible, you need to enter before the end of the month (and pay $500).
- The list was compiled by Luminate, a data company part-owned by Penske Media - owners of the Golden Globes, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Luminate released data in April claiming 40% of the US listen monthly to podcasts.
- The list appears to roughly mirror the top shows in Edison Research’s Top 50. Absent from the Golden Globes list, though: New Heights and Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend.

Podcast Movement has announced videos are now available for every session from Podcast Movement 2025 in Dallas. They’re free, and available to everyone.

Spotify announced integration with Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP and ID5. SiriusXM also announced Amazon DSP integration last month.

Apple Podcasts launched Series Essentials in the app in the US, Australia/NZ, Canada and the UK. The editorial feature is built to spotlight serialised storytelling. During October, these shows will be ad free on Apple Podcasts.

iVoox has published the fourth edition of its Observatory report, focusing on podcast consumption in Spain. Eight out of ten Spaniards listen to podcasts; the report suggests that the listeners now spend an average of 10.5 hours listening to podcasts and 6.5 episodes per week.
- Podcast Days is in its second day in Madrid.

Spreaker has partnered with CodeADX, a marketplace “that lets podcasters earn commissions whenever listeners buy with their promo codes”. The company partnered with Blubrry in January.

Buzzsprout quietly raised its pricing for new customers in August, it appears. Pricing in July started at $12/month; by August, the lowest price had switched to $19. The company bills on hours uploaded.

PodcastOne’s revenue has increased 19% year-on-year to more than $14.5mn, according to preliminary data released to the SEC.
