Stephen Cavitt, MFA, teaches creative writing at Florida Gulf Coast University. He has lived in a tipi, studied with shamans, fed wild bears, walked on fire, and climbed New Mexico’s highest mountains in skinny jeans. The lead sniper for a SWAT team taught him to shoot. Tom Brown Jr. taught him to track animals. His mother taught him to sing.
