我們的日常生活不是開放的，我們所處的輿論環境也不是。 這讓人緊張，世界簡直是一口沸騰的鍋，新聞事件不停地開炸，一個又一個落在眼前。似乎唯有在倉促間睜開眼睛，張開耳朵，努力收集那些到處散落的線索，去了解這些荒唐為何發生，我們的生活將去向何方，才好像懂得了去應對這種信息衝撞的常態。
端一直以來在思考文字報導以外的方式來講述我們的現況，使用了互動頁面，攝影和短片影像等不同的媒介。Podcast是我們期待已久的新窗口，定期推送的端開麥系列節目是我們新的播報型態，通過主持編輯及作者，學者的對話，試著攤開每一個議題的多面性，冀望可以更迅速和直觀地探討生活中的點滴，文化現象的觀察，時事政治的多重影響。 在這裏，我們要面對的功課和努力要達成的目標是希望能夠站在跨地域角度，不僅用本土視角，也能帶著多想一步的思考，用流動的經驗討論本土議題，而流行文化與我們的政治生活之間千絲萬縷的聯繫，怎樣跳脫非此即彼的舊有型態，去面對如今世界帶來的複雜性？如我們的開場白，這些是沒有正確答案的話題。 我們忐忑地，認真地，在此發出聲音。
