Am 4. April 2006 wird Mehmet Kubaşık in seinem Kiosk in Dortmund erschossen. Die Polizei verdächtigt seine Familie, obwohl Mehmet bereits das achte Opfer einer Mordserie ist, bei der Männer mit Migrationsgeschichte erschossen werden. Für seine Tochter Gamze beginnt mit dem Mord an ihrem Vater ein Alptraum. Dann lernt sie Semiya kennen, die Tochter des ersten Opfers der Mordserie. Gemeinsam kämpfen die beiden jungen Frauen dafür, dass die Polizei endlich in alle Richtungen ermittelt. Bis sie schließlich erfahren, wer wirklich hinter den Morden an ihren Vätern steckt. Und dass Beamte im Geheimdienst alles versuchen, um die Wahrheit zu vertuschen…
