Mag je nieuw leven op de wereld zetten als je zelf niet van het leven houdt? Als je het leven geregeld als zwaar ervaart en misschien zelfs overwogen hebt om er een einde aan te maken?
Welkom bij de podcast Nieuw leven & psychische kwetsbaarheid!
Mijn naam is Annemiek Lely. Jarenlang dacht ik geen kinderen te willen omdat ik psychisch kwetsbaar ben. Ik heb namelijk van jongs af aan al last van depressies. Dat maakte dat ik bang was om geen goede moeder te kunnen zijn en mijn kwetsbaarheid op het kind over te dragen. Ook had ik zorgen over de invloed van medicijngebruik tijdens de zwangerschap op het kind.
Twee jaar geleden ontlook toch een wens. Sindsdien heb ik veel wetenschappelijke onderzoeken over het onderwerp gelezen. Ook ben ik met diverse artsen en andere ervaringsdeskundigen in gesprek gegaan. Dat proces beschrijf ik in het boek Nieuw leven & psychische kwetsbaarheid.
Vandaag de dag wordt er nog altijd weinig open over dit onderwerp gesproken én ik heb aan de lijve ondervonden hoe snel mensen er een mening over vormen. Vandaar dat ik in deze podcast met andere ervaringsdeskundigen in gesprek ga. Heeft hun psychische kwetsbaarheid invloed op hun - al dan niet bestaande - kinderwens? En hoe ziet of zag hun proces eruit? Hopelijk geeft deze podcast jou steun én inzichten met betrekking tot deze grote levensvraag!
