Der langjährige Gerichtsvollzieher ist seit mehr als 20 Jahren in der Nachbargemeinde Mittenaar ansässig und durch sein Engagement in vielen Vereinen stark mit dem Landkreis verbunden. Aufgrund seiner Parteilosigkeit trifft er Entscheidungen nicht nach parteipolitischen Bestrebungen, sondern agiert der Situation entsprechend für den gemeinschaftlichen Vorteil.

Für Markus Ebertz hat es Vorrang, die Zufriedenheit der Gemeinde und der Bürger:innen an erste Stelle zu stellen. Der Kern seines Wirkens im Amt des Bürgermeisters ist, gemeinsam mit einer respektvollen und zielführenden Kommunikation aus der Schnittmenge der Interessen heraus zu handeln, statt Mauern aufzubauen. Die Lösung liegt für ihn darin, Gemeinsamkeiten zu finden, miteinander zu sprechen und verantwortungsvoll in eine stabile Zukunft zu gehen.
