C’è un mondo sommerso di cui nessuno parla: è il mercato della compravendita di organi. Vale cifre così alte che è difficile immaginarle e coinvolge persone di tutto il mondo.
Ho ascoltato la storia di una di loro e sono andata a fondo, per capire che cosa ci sia dietro la scelta di vendere un pezzo di sé - anche se la posta in gioco è la sopravvivenza - e quali ne siano le reali conseguenze.
Mi chiamo Teresa Potenza, sono una giornalista e “Merce di scambio” nasce dopo aver ascoltato una storia che aveva il diritto di essere raccontata, ma anche il dovere di raggiungere quante più persone possibile. Perché questa storia tocca temi come l’etica e la morale comune e solleva questioni spinose, che ho affrontato interpellando esperti di vari settori: psicologia, criminologia, medicina e geopolitica.
Ne è nato un podcast giornalistico di inchiesta, indipendente, che riflette esattamente la mia idea di fare giornalismo. Ma per diffondere questa storia e restare indipendente, avevo bisogno del supporto di altri professionisti e di diverse competenze: di una squadra, insomma.
E così, grazie all’incontro con persone e brand che condividono i miei stessi valori, “Merce di scambio” è il primo podcast indipendente finanziato tramite la piattaforma Podstar.
