This Band is Tocotronic
Die 30-jährige Geschichte der Band Tocotronic wird in diesem Podcast als mitreißende Story erzählt: Aus drei Freunden werden vier, aus ihrer Band ein Raum für Inspiration, Zweifel, Scheitern, Angst, Wut, Exzess und Liebe. Tocotronic erleben die Nachwendejahre, das MTV- und VIVA-Zeitalter, Hamburger Subkultur und Berliner Fluchtpunkte, den Flüchtlingssommer 2015 und das Erstarken von Rechtspopulismus. Das alles kommt mit und wird zu Sound und Songs.
rbb-Reporterin Stefanie Groth begegnet den vier Bandmitgliedern in tiefgehenden Interviews. Sie geht ins Archiv, ins Studio, vor, hinter und auf die Bühne. Sie ist auch dabei, wenn Songs für das nächste Tocotronic-Album entstehen. Und sie trifft Begleiter*innen und Kritiker*innen aus den letzten 30 Jahren: darunter Fettes Brot, Thees Uhlmann, Bernadette La Hengst, Kersty Grether und Beatsteaks-Sänger Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß.
