Conosciamo Tiziano Terzani soprattutto per l’ultima parte della sua vita: la riflessione sulla malattia e la morte, l’adesione alle filosofie orientali, l’impegno contro le guerre in Iraq e in Afghanistan.

A un certo punto qualcuno lo ha trattato, per screditarlo, come un guru o un santone. Ma Terzani è stato per più di trent’anni un inviato di guerra, poi un corrispondente dall’Asia, uno dei primi giornalisti occidentali a entrare nella Cina comunista e a raccontarla, un esperto di geopolitica.
