Liesbeth Staats (50) is ontzettend volwassen geworden. Zó volwassen, dat ze zomaar op het punt staat om aan de tweede helft van haar leven te beginnen. Tenminste, dat hoopt ze.
Maar hoe leid je dat deel van je leven dan een beetje leuk, of slim? Liesbeth vraagt het aan vrouwen die dat terrein al helemaal hebben verkend. Vrouwen die kunnen tappen uit een uniek reservoir van wijsheid dat alleen vrijkomt wanneer een bepaalde leeftijd is gepasseerd. De meest uiteenlopende onderwerpen en levenslessen komen langs in Lang Zal Ze Leven.

Over de maker:
Liesbeth Staats is een ervaren journalist en presentator. Op dit moment presenteert ze The Daily Move, het dagelijkse nieuws- en actualiteitenprogramma van BNR Nieuwsradio in de middag. Hiervoor werkte ze achtereenvolgens als verslaggever en presentator bij het At5- nieuws, het NOS Jeugdjournaal, Eenvandaag (AVROTROS) en Brandpunt (KRONCRV).
Met haar documentaireserie Waarom Werken Vrouwen Niet? (2020) zette ze de discussie over vrouwen en (parttime) werk in Nederland op scherp. Daarna volgde een boek van haar hand over dat thema: Waarom vrouwen minder werken dan mannen (en dat ook jouw probleem is) (2021).
Liesbeth woont met haar gezin in Amsterdam, ze is moeder van twee zonen.
