Con D de Deporte
Mi nombre es Yoli Hellín, tengo 28 años y vivo en Madrid. Tengo diabetes tipo 1 desde hace 7 años y desde hace 4 convivo con mi bomba de insulina.
Soy ingeniera de telecomunicaciones de profesión, pero una amante empedernida del deporte, en todas sus modalidades, aunque sin duda mi pasión es el ciclismo.
Compito en maratón de mountain bike y mi exigencia me ha llevado a poder disfrutar de muchos podiums, en los que disfrutaba al lado de otras chicas, que jamás supieron que yo tenía diabetes.
Desde mi debut he luchado por demostrar que la diabetes no es un impedimento para poder practicar deporte en todos los niveles, desde un paseo, hasta competiciones de alto rendimiento. Por ello, he organizado iniciativas como salidas de iniciación al ciclismo con diabetes, he podido compartir impresiones, conocimientos y ánimos en conferencias y me he volcado al 100% en mis redes sociales para poder dar la información que yo necesité en el momento de comenzar a entrenar con la diabetes.
Y desde ahora, formo parte del equipo de aprendiz de diabetes conduciendo este programa mensual llamado “Con D de Deporte”. Donde te contaré muchas cosas sobre este gran misterio del deporte con diabetes. Por eso, nuestra intención, es darle Voz a la Diabetes. No te lo puedes perder. ¡Suscríbete!.
