Dat Fake news een moderne uitvinding is, is fake news. Sterker nog: na een beetje onderzoek, kom je er snel achter dat dit fenomeen zo oud is als de weg naar Rome. Was Moeder Theresa wel zo’n lieverdje? En hoelang was Martin Luther King eigenlijk koning?
In Geschiedenis Inside gaan Gijs van Engelen en Thomas van Luyn met terugwerkende kracht op fake news-jacht om zo samen Nederland te behoeden voor historische leugens. Elke week staat één historisch figuur centraal. Hun levensverhaal wordt verteld, aan de hand van alles wat mensen op straat over hem of haar denken te weten. Kloppen de algemeen bekende verhalen wel, of zat het toch allemaal net iets anders?
