Née en 1958, La Ve république a acquis une longévité inattendue, survécu aux crises initiales, permis l’alternance et pratiqué la cohabitation. Faisant, depuis son instauration, tout aussi bien l’objet d’une admiration parfois aveugle que de critiques plus ou moins justifiées, la Ve République n’aura cessé, et c’est bien normal dans notre débat démocratique permanent, de susciter la controverse. Mais le citoyen, connaît-il vraiment notre Constitution ?
Si nul n’est censé ignorer la loi, chacun doit connaitre à plus forte raison la loi fondamentale, la Constitution. De plus, notre vie politique ne peut se comprendre si l’on ignore nos institutions.
