Som 20-årig fik Sigurd Hartkorn Plaetner konstateret den alvorlige og uhelbredelige sygdom, sclerose. Her 14 år senere, er han klar til at fortælle om det - ikke om selve sygdommen, men om, hvad den har gjort ved hans måde at være i verden på. Vi skal hele vejen fra marokkanske natklubber og endeløse drukture til depressioner og frygten for at dø før sine forældre.
