Tommi Schmitts große Leidenschaft ist der Fußball. Er schrieb über ihn in seiner 11Freunde-Kolumne, hatte zahlreiche Profis in seiner Sendung „Studio Schmitt“ zu Gast, sammelt Trikots, schaut Fußball im TV, in der Kneipe, im Stadion - kurz: Er liebt ihn, wie so viele andere auch. Doch er macht sich Sorgen um die Entwicklungen im Fußball. Denn unser Volkssport macht müde - VAR, Financial Fairplay, die WM in Katar, Turbo-Vermarktung, Super League - diese Dinge nerven jeden echten Fan.

Zum Glück gibt’s jetzt endlich “Copa TS". Hier bringt Tommi Schmitt die Liebe zum Spiel zurück auf die große Bühne. Gemeinsam mit seinen Gästen analysiert er den vergangenen Spieltag und aktuelle Entwicklungen, erzählt persönliche Fußballgeschichten, macht Deep Dives in spezifische Themen und begibt sich auf die Suche nach dem, weshalb wir alle irgendwann einmal Fan dieses Sports geworden sind.
