家庭系统排列（Family Constellation）是由德国当代系统心理学大师伯特·海灵格Bert Hellinger)所发展出来。海灵格发现每一家庭或组织都有一股隐藏的动力，家庭或组织中的每一个成员都会受到这股动力的影响，而这个动力是在潜意识的深处，一般人不容易察觉。在家庭或组织中所发生的许多负面事件如：家庭失和、身心疾病、自杀、伤害意外、暴力犯罪等都是抵触这股力量所导致，而使整个家庭或组织的“爱的序位“(Orders of Love)受到干扰，有的时候这些事件还会重复发生，延续到下一代。 系统排列的功能，就是要协助我们辨识家庭或组织背后的动力状况，把隐藏在潜意识的动力，藉由这个方法带到光亮的地方。同时也能找出解决的途径，调整被干扰的家庭或组织系统，让爱重新在家庭或组织中流动，不会把伤害再传递给无辜的下一代,也让组织能够顺畅的运作。 作者伯特·海灵格以诗一般的语言向读者阐述了其发现的一些事情，而那些事情往往和家庭中的亲密关系有关，这种关系控制着人们并改变着他们的生活。
海灵格以“现象学”的工作方法，一步一步地在家庭系统排列中，依据着学员代表的身体现象反应，把深深埋藏心底的情感——那些盲目、完全不被意识的情感给展现出来。整个过程是一次令人惊讶及赞叹的心灵探索。
透过家庭系统排列，我们最终会获得自身在家庭亲族这个命运团体中一个恰当的序位。人不再是单一的独立个体，而是带着浓厚亲情与祖先宗族紧密连结的一环。
