A native of Brooklyn New York, Rivka’s journey into house music began in the mid-80s, with her DJing career taking off in 2004. She built a name for herself under her moniker RUBI R-Tres / R3 NYC with residencies and radio shows. Rivka was apart of iconic events like FunkBox NYC, Golden Record NYC, and TOCA CIELO. She’s opened for legends such as Tony Humphries, Anańe, Hex Hector, and Vince Watson among others. Inspired by pioneers like Larry Heard, Kerri Chandler, and Todd Terry, RIVKA transitioned to music production in 2020, crafting Deep House, Detroit Techno, Acid House, and Afro/Tribal House. By 2023, she joined labels like Open Bar Music, Kolour Recordings, and Mavek Recordings.
