Die Geschichtsmacher
Der jahrtausendealte Kampf gegen Krebs, Goethes Gebeine, Margarethe Steiffs Teddybären, der Ukrainekrieg - seit über 50 Jahren liefert das “Zeitzeichen” im Radio täglich die Hintergründe zu historischen Ereignissen und Persönlichkeiten. In den “Geschichtsmachern” tauchen Marko Rösseler und Martin Herzog tiefer in spannende Geschichte(n) hinein - quer durch sämtliche Epochen, Länder und Kulturen. Im Gespräch mit ihren Zeitzeichen-Kollegen geht es dabei auch um persönliche Erlebnisse, die Irrungen und Wirrungen der Recherche und die Frage: Was geht uns das alles heute noch an? Wer sind Martin und Marko?
Martin Herzog und Marko Rösseler wurden beide in dem Jahr geboren, als das ZeitZeichen zum ersten Mal gesendet wurde: 1972. Als sie noch klein waren, wollten beide groß und schlau werden – so schlau wie die Menschen, die täglich in dieser Sendung so gescheit über Geschichte parlierten. Sie studierten selbst Germanistik, Archäologie, Politik, Philosophie und natürlich Geschichte – aber zu welchem Zweck? Na, um auf dieser Grundlage ZeitZeichen schreiben zu können! Seit zwei Jahrzehnten dürfen sie das auch beide regelmäßig tun. Geschafft? Pustekuchen! Zwar werden sie mit jedem Stück ein Stückchen schlauer. Ein Ende ist aber längst nicht abzusehen und geschafft sind sie allenfalls dann, wenn sie den kategorischen Imperativ in 14 Minuten erklären müssen oder die Funktionsweise eines Fermi-Reaktors. Drum nehmen sie sich jetzt mit ihren Kolleginnen und Kollegen ein wenig mehr Zeit…
