音楽の贈り物
音楽がどんなに人生を豊かにしてくれるというお話をお送りします。
私の両親が出会ったのはコミュニティのコーラスグループです。特に父は小さい頃歌手になりたかった人で、カラオケが世に出た時から家には大きなカラオケの機械ががありました。父はカラオケ屋さんに行った時には最初に自分のレパートリを何曲も入れてしまう人でした。母も音楽が大好きです。
私はといえば昭和歌謡で育ち、後にミュージカルの舞台に立つことを目指し実現しました。今はアメリカに住んで子育ての合間に大学の声楽科を卒業し、パンデミック前までは教会の聖歌隊、小さな女性だけのコーラスグループ、歌好きが集まったアマチュアシンガーのグループに参加し年に１０回以上のパフォーマンスに参加していました。
私がなぜ歌うことを続けるかというと、自分が得る物もありますが聞いている人にも与える影響が大きいからです。それは歌に限りません。皆さんにも覚えがないです？懐かしい曲を聴くと心はタイムスリップしてその時の感情、周りの人など、時にはその時の肌の感覚や匂いまでが浮かんできませんか？脳は騙されやすい性質があるので、きっとその時と同じものを作り出すのではないかと私は思っています。そしてそれが影響を及ぼすかのように、いつも細胞から若返る感覚があります。
音楽は一瞬にしてそれを与えてくれます。まさに天が私たちに与えてくれた贈り物だと思っています。
