Fake Shaman is the true tale of a 37-year-old white woman from Connecticut claiming to be an indigenously-trained shaman, who moved to Maine with dollar signs in her eyes and psychedelic mushrooms in her Coach bag. Crash Barry’s ten-episode investigation does a deep dive into the history and actions of this serial liar and con-witch and her evil habit of preying on vulnerable people in Maine and beyond.

Crash Barry’s previous podcasts include Unholy Fathers, an investigation of the child molesting Catholic priests of Springfield, Massachusetts, where he grew up in an Irish Catholic family and served as an altar boy. Tough Island is a dramatic and comedic audio version of Crash’s memoir of living and working Maine’s most remote inhabited island when he was a much younger man.
