Traffic Sources
Building a dedicated online audience is both an art and a mystery. Traffic Sources is where host Carlos Pacheco talks with creators, business leaders, and marketers who’ve managed to figure it out (mostly). Through honest conversations, we explore what actually works in content creation, audience growth, and community building – and what definitely doesn’t. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already have a following, we share real experiences and practical approaches you can use. No growth hacks or secret formulas here – just straightforward conversations about real work. Join us as we share our insights and learn new ways to turn casual observers into genuine supporters, with plenty of judgment and sarcasm to spice things up.
Join us on a semi-monthly basis where we discuss audience and channel strategies, the changes and struggles of the platforms, and the latest tactics, strategies, and trends.
Who the hell is this guy?
After stumbling through a career in advertising and marketing (where he mostly pretended to understand acronyms), Carlos somehow landed at Just For Entertainment Group as Director of OTT and monetization strategies. There, he spends his days contemplating subversive strategies to grow entertainment IPs across streaming platforms while occasionally having to explain to his parents what exactly that means. Before that, Carlos sweet-talked his way into Just for Laughs as a digital director, where he convinced them his SEO and marketing experience would help grow their YouTube presence. Spoiler alert: it actually worked. He then had a stint at Boat Rocker Media, building a channel network and managing rights on YouTube – which is basically like being a digital traffic cop, but with more spreadsheets.
These days, you’ll find him at Just For Entertainment Group, where he continues to translate digital jargon into actual business results, one platform at a time. (He’s still not sure how he got here, but he’s rolling with it.)

Stats: Statistics are produced by Libsyn to help Traffic Sources to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure. Libsyn is IAB v2 certified. Here is more detail about podcast statistics.
Dynamic content insertion: Libsyn may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Traffic Sources may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.
Traffic Sources is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
