陕西北路：沪上最知名的中国历史文化名街

陕西北路是中国上海市中心区的一条南北向道路，主要位于静安区境内。1899年以前，陕西北路所在地域还是上海西郊的农田。上海公共租界向西拓展后，开辟该路新闸路以南到租界南部界限福煦路（今延安中路）段，1905年以英国将领名命名为西摩路。1943年汪精卫政府接收上海公共租界，更名为陕西北路。
陕西北路（新闸路—巨鹿路段）是陕西北路的精华所在，曾入选2013年第五届中国历史文化名街，近千米的距离云集了名人旧居、典型风格建筑、革命遗迹等历史文化景观21处。无论建筑、环境、人文均体现出海派文化典型特征，是一条拥有百年历史、保存比较完整的上海“老马路”。
