Missing Pieces, a FOX 5 True Crime/Mystery podcast, shines a light on the cases that have left us with more questions than answers. In The Mansion Murders series, we explore a story that captivated the nation in 2015, after the Savopoulos family and their housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa were brutally murdered. Then, FOX 5 reporter Bob Barnard examines the disappearance of young Maryland siblings Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, a case which has mystified and frustrated their father, police, prosecutors and the community for more than three years. FOX 5 reporter Melanie Alnwick investigated the disappearance of Alison Thresher, a Bethesda mother who vanished 18 years ago. Now, Alnwick is exploring the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Terrence Woods, a young filmmaker from Maryland who disappeared in Idaho in October 2018.

This podcast may use tracking and attribution and dynamic content insertion

Stats: Statistics are produced by Megaphone, Podsights and Podtrac to help Missing Pieces to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure. Megaphone and Podtrac are IAB v2 certified. Here is more detail about podcast statistics.

Tracking and attribution: Megaphone, Podsights and Nielsen or their partners may connect the fact you listened to this podcast to an action elsewhere on the internet. For example - they may spot a device that downloaded an episode of Missing Pieces later visited the website of an advertiser; or they may track that a device that listened to Missing Pieces also listened to a different show. This form of attribution is used to measure advertising effectiveness.

Dynamic content insertion: Megaphone may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Missing Pieces may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.

Missing Pieces is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
