Af fingrum fram – Tónlistarmaðurinn Jón Ólafsson ræðir við íslenskt tónlistarfólk um feril þess og lífshlaup.
Jónas Sigurðsson fæddist í friðsælu fiskiþorpi og þótti fyrirferðarmikill og uppátækjasamur. Ofvirkni og athyglisbrestur hjálpuðu ekki til þegar hann gekk hinn vandrataða menntaveg.
Eftir að hafa verið rekinn af heimavist framhaldsskólans samdi hann lag sem snart fleiri en hann grunaði. Hann var rangur maður á röngum tíma í vitlausu húsi en skorti þó ekki hæfileika. Jónas hóf dauðaleit að sjálfum sér í Kaupmannahöfn og las þar flest það sem hann komst yfir og rataði meira að segja inn á gólf Vísindakirkjunnar alræmdu. Í lok þáttarins flytur hann eitt lag ásamt Jóni.
Upphaf þáttanna Af fingrum fram má rekja tæp 20 ár aftur í tímann þegar samnefndir sjónvarpsþættir hófu göngu sína hjá RÚV og hlutu þeir Edduverðlaunin strax á fyrsta vetri. Þættirnir skipta nú tugum, rétt eins og spjalltónleikaröð í Salnum sem ber þessa sömu yfirskrift og hefur gengið fyrir fullu húsi í 11 ár. Jón er meðlimur í hljómsveitinni Nýdönsk og hefur verið ótrúlega afkastamikill á hinum ýmsu sviðum tónlistarinnar í áratugi. Hann skrifaði ævisögu Vilhjálms Vilhjálmssonar.
