吾妻嶺酒造店は江戸時代中期の天明元年（1781年）「志和酒造店」として創業しました。その前身となったのは延宝年間（1670年代）に岩手で初めて上方流の“澄み酒”をつくった「権兵衛酒屋」で、この蔵の存在が後に南部杜氏を生み出すことにつながりました。当蔵では南部流酒づくりの本流を受け継ぎ、“岩手らしいお酒”を目指して仕込みの全てに目が届く年間五百石程度の少量生産にて心を込めた酒づくりを行っております。
