Finns det egentligen några vettiga och hållbara motiv för att verka för mänsklig överlevnad på sikt?
Med tanke på människans förmodat otillräckliga intelligens lär arten förmodligen dö ut ganska snart. Profetior baserade på vetenskapliga studier tyder på att västerlädska populationer kommer att få en negativ populationstillväxt kring 2050, orsakad av reproduktionsstörningar vilka har sitt ursprung i “teknologisk utveckling och tillväxt”.
