In de onderwereld geldt één duidelijke regel: wie praat, die slaapt. De boel verlinken, zorgt voor doden. Misdaadjournalist Marian Husken volgt al dertig jaar rechtszaken met een kroongetuige. Sinds de moord op haar collega Peter R. de Vries, die vertrouwenspersoon was van kroongetuige Nabil B. in het Marengoproces, vraagt ze zich af: is een kroongetuige echt nodig? Waarom sluit justitie deals met criminelen als onschuldige levens op het spel staan?
Samen met journalist Maike van Leeuwen spreekt Marian Husken de hoofdrolspelers van geruchtmakende strafzaken: advocaten, rechters, officieren van justitie en… (ex)- criminelen. Voor het eerst geven zij jou, als luisteraar, een uniek inkijkje in kroongetuigendeals. Is de methode nog wel houdbaar?
