Generatie 9/11
Op 11 september 2001 boorden twee gekaapte vliegtuigen zich in het World Trade Center in New York. De aanval op de Verenigde Staten was wereldnieuws en wordt gezien als een keerpunt in de geschiedenis. Wafa Al Ali en Lotfi El Hamidi, beiden journalist bij NRC, waren tieners in 2001. De aanslag beïnvloedde hun leven en dat van andere jonge moslims. Van de een op de andere dag waren ze ‘de ander’. Hoe kijken zij en hun generatiegenoten twintig jaar later terug? En wat zeggen hun ervaringen over het Nederland van nu?
