Vénus s’épilait-elle chatte déconstruit l’histoire de l’art occidentale, en proposant un point de vue féministe et inclusif. Largement basé sur le patriarcat et la colonisation, l’art a contribué à normaliser la domination masculine et la blanchité comme la référence unique et neutre, et c’est important d’en parler, pour mieux comprendre ce qu’on regarde, et se réapproprier tout ce patrimoine commun.
