Fire gutter i trettiårene søker sammen for å finne svar på livets problemer og utfordringer. De er: Tor, en geolog med sans for det rolige liv; Chris, en eks-alkoholiker og nå hitmaker for landets største artister; Bjørne, konsulenten som fikk ME og nå er foredragsholder; og hans bror Tarje, en kronisk, men nå rehabilitert hasjrøyker, med mange jern i ilden.
Sammen hjelper de hverandre gjennom livet på en sofa i hovedstaden.
