Boekestijn en De Wijk
Arend Jan Boekestijn en Rob de Wijk gaan onder leiding van Hugo Reitsma op zoek naar de nieuwe wereldorde. Elke zaterdagochtend om 11 uur een nieuwe aflevering waar wekelijks een relevante gast aanschuift.
Daarnaast een dagelijkse update waarin de oorlog in Oekraïne en momenteel het conflict in de Gazastrook centraal staan.
De wereld lijkt soms in brand te staan, meerdere conflicten en oorlogen, de geopolitieke verhoudingen lijken voortdurend te verschuiven. Met zoveel nieuws is het prettig om naar deskundigen te luisteren die orde in de chaos scheppen. Defensiespecialist Rob de Wijk en docent internationale betrekkingen Arend Jan Boekestijn gaan de discussie met elkaar aan en vullen elkaar aan met hun specifieke kennis op het gebied van militaire operaties en historische context van verschillende conflicten.
BNR-presentator van dienst is Hugo Reitsma. Hij houdt beide heren bij de les zodat de vaak ingewikkelde materie begrijpelijk blijft voor de luisteraars.

Arend Jan Boekestijn
Arend Jan Boekestijn is een Nederlands historicus en voormalig politicus. Hij studeerde geschiedenis en politieke wetenschappen aan de Vrije Universiteit te Amsterdam. Boekestijn is voormalig Tweede Kamerlid (tot 2009). Sinds 1989 is hij verbonden aan de vakgroep geschiedenis van de Universiteit Utrecht en sinds 2016 lid van commissie Vrede en Veiligheid van AIV.
Rob de Wijk
Rob de Wijk is een Nederlandse geschiedkundige en deskundige op het gebied van internationale betrekkingen en veiligheidsvraagstukken. Sinds 2007 is De Wijk directeur & oprichter van het Den Haag Centrum voor Strategische Studies (HCSS). Hij is tevens emeritus hoogleraar aan de Universiteit Leiden.
Hugo Reitsma
Hugo Reitsma studeerde politicologie en is verslaggever bij BNR Nieuwsradio. Hij is auteur van het boek ‘Boekestijn en De Wijk voorspellen de toekomst’ (november 2023).
