Desert Knowledge Interface - דעת מדבר
בישראל מתקיים מחקר עשיר ורב שנים העוסק בהבנת המערכת האקולוגית המדברית, ובפיתוח של פתרונות וטכנולוגיות לתמיכה בחיי אדם במדבר. את מיזם “דעת מדבר” הקמנו על מנת להנגיש ידע זה במגוון ערוצים וכלים לקהלים שונים מהארץ ומהעולם. ידע מהמדבר יסייע בהבנה, בהתאמה, ובהתמודדות עם השפעות המדבור ושינויי האקלים על קהילות בעולם.
DKY is a non-profit organization devoted to the promoting and sharing of desert knowledge in a variety of channels, using different tools, to a wide range of communities, worldwide.
Desert knowledge can help societies to adjust and cope with desertification and climate change effects, and therefor support residents of affected regions.
