文學作品除了可以讀，也可以聽。「今天聽小說」就是將文字化作聲音，傳送到聽眾的耳邊。節目揀選了多篇精彩的短篇小說，其中包括名作家白先勇、三毛、亦舒、李碧華及林燕妮等之作品。兩位資深的播音藝員：焦姣及張妙陽，用悅耳的聲線及豐富的感情，演譯多篇名家作品，使作品的神髓更活靈活現。（本節目全部以普通話/國語播出，編導:張建浩）
