La Oficina de Turismo de Sichuan ha seleccionado dos embajadores de seis países de Europa --España, Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania, Bélgica y Austria-- para viajar entre junio y agosto de 2015 por 15 países, a través de la Ruta de la Seda del Sur, hasta la provincia china de Sichuan.
Se trata de una aventura con la que las autoridades turísticas de la región esperan dar a conocer la riqueza cultural e histórica de destinos como Sichuan, zona en la que acabará la travesía tras pisar suelo británico, francés, español, belga, alemán, austríaco, italiano, griego, turco, iraní, pakistaní, indio, bengalí y birmano.
