Michael has over 10 years experience as an assistant director on films and television series such as “Broad City”, “The Best Man”, “Law & Order”, “Inside Man”, “The 25th Hour”, “7th Heaven”,and the academy award nominated film “Precious” in which he was nominated for a DGA award along with the director Lee Daniels as part of his directing team. He made his feature directorial debut with the Lions Gate Distributed “You’re Nobody Til Somebody Kills you” which Spike Lee acted as Executive Producer. Pinkcney’s most recent project is “The Trade”, a TV drama that takes place in the world of human trafficking.
