Salary range: $105,000 to $145,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience plus This position is full-time. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Lemonada Media seeks a strategic, detail-oriented, and people-first Senior Director of Account Management to lead and scale our ad operations function. This leader will oversee the Ad Operations team, drive operational excellence across monetization and campaign execution, and ensure seamless collaboration across sales, finance, and external distribution partners. This position will also be hands-on, actively participating in the day-to-day work of ad operations.
The Senior Director is an external-facing role with internal management responsibilities and will play a critical role in optimizing revenue operations, improving cross-functional workflows, and supporting the continued growth of our ad sales and distribution ecosystem across both audio and video. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of leading an Ad Operations team (strategic and direct management) as well as deep knowledge of the Megaphone platform. The Senior Director reports to the Head of Revenue.
Roles and Responsibilities Ad Operations Leadership and Account Management
- Manage the members of the Ad Operations team
- Align the work of the ad operations function to support company priorities and allocate resources effectively
- Serve as the primary point of contact for talent teams, onboard external show partners, and manage relationships with ad sales and distribution partners
- Streamline systems and processes to increase efficiency and maximize revenue
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the ad operations team
- Establish clear performance metrics, team goals, and professional development pathways that empower the members of the ad operations team
- Ensure operational rigor across campaign setup, execution, delivery, and reporting
Ad Operations Implementation
- Oversee and directly perform the day-to-day work of ad operations, including:
- Welcome sponsors and clients, and kick off campaigns seamlessly
- Track campaigns from start to finish, making decisions on delivery, with the sales team as needed
- Coordinate ads/ad copy with sponsors and production teams
- Work closely with the ad operations team to create campaigns and flights in ad server
- Implement change requests in campaign delivery
- Review ads for quality control and conduct airchecks
- Implement pixels onto and track delivery of campaigns
- Share audio with sponsors
- Assist with ad audio uploads into ad server
- Support sponsor retention and client satisfaction by communicating effectively with advertiser and agencies
Ad Sales and Distribution Partnerships
- Lead the ad operations team in onboarding new ad sales and distribution partners to platforms and ad processes
- Work closely with the sales team to get ahead of new trends and technology in the rapidly evolving podcast space, including video, reporting, and more
- Optimize existing (and where needed create new) standardized processes for:
- Ad sales and distribution show launches
- Ongoing production workflows
- Delivery schedules and trafficking timelines
- Asset management and creative approvals
- Ensure operational consistency while supporting creative flexibility across a diverse slate of shows
- Serve as a key operational liaison to external show and platform partners
Revenue Operations & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the primary ongoing manager of the Megaphone platform across the Company
- Act as the primary ongoing manager of FlightPath across the Company
- Lead the implementation and management of additional tools to strengthen revenue growth and analytics management
- Work across multiple functions and departments to contribute to the development of new ideas, innovative strategies, and drive best practices
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Finance teams to support:
- Inventory management and forecasting
- Revenue pacing and reporting
- Campaign performance tracking and optimization
- Billing accuracy and reconciliation
- Improve operational processes related to monetization, campaign execution, billing, and performance analytics
- Identify and implement systems, tools, and automation to increase efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in ad operations within digital media, podcasting, or audio
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Proven experience working in the Megaphone platform
- Strong knowledge of podcast or digital audio monetization models
- Expertise in forecasting, inventory management, revenue pacing, and billing workflows
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Audience Growth, and Content teams
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging performance data to inform strategy
- Enthusiasm for Lemonada’s audio and video content, as well as our diverse slate of shows and talent partnerships
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
