         <title>Head of Growth - Memberships Team</title>

We have built a paid membership product that converts a small fraction of our organic listening audience into recurring revenue, and we are now ready to scale it deliberately.

This role owns that scaling. The person we hire will inherit the foundations of a “conversion machine”, including websites, landing pages, attribution, and an emerging data capture and conversion funnel, and will be responsible for turning that into a serious membership business.

The opportunity is sizeable: we have a large, engaged organic audience already listening (over 80m monthly), and our current conversion rates suggest meaningful headroom.

This is not a role for someone who wants to spend big on paid acquisition from day one. It is a role for an operator who understands that converting a passive podcast audience into paying members is a specific craft, different from D2C e-commerce and different from SaaS, and who is excited by the puzzle of building that conversion machine.

YAP MEDIA NYC is hiring a full-time, Austin-based Podcast Producer to support Young and Profiting, Hala Taha’s flagship podcast and one of the top business and self-development shows. This is an in-house role for someone who is strategic and hands-on, and can own the creative direction, production flow, and final quality of the show from idea to publishing.

In just two years from launching the podcast arm of our company, YAP Media has been recognized as one of the top networks for business and self-development podcasts. Our podcasts feature guests like Russel Brunson, Daymond John, Maria Forleo, Grant Cardone, Leila Hormozi, and other A-List business influencers.

We are looking for a strategic, creative, organized, and detail-oriented Podcast Producer who can help scale the Young and Profiting Podcast from a top business podcast into a category-defining show. This role demands a strong eye for story, audience growth, brand direction, YouTube packaging, clip selection, scripting, show notes, and the full end-to-end production process.

Personal and professional development are core to our values at YAP. In this role, you’ll work directly with Hala Taha and production leadership to shape the creative direction, content strategy, and growth engine for the show while learning from some of the greatest minds in business and personal development.

**Responsibilities**
1. Content Editing. Own the final content edit in Descript after episodes have been edited and mastered by our Audio Engineer. Shape the story, tighten the structure, add intros and outros, complete the final export, and ensure every episode is strong enough to publish.
2. Copywriting. Write and oversee story-driven show notes, sponsorship messages, episode intros/outros, solo episode scripts, and other podcast copy that match Hala’s voice, strengthen the show’s positioning, and drive engagement and downloads. Follow SOPs closely, while knowing when it’s appropriate to deviate.
3. Titles. Create clear, compelling episode titles, YouTube titles, and thumbnail titles that align with the episode story, audience promise, and growth strategy. Think like a strategist and creative director when packaging each episode for discovery, retention, and shares.
4. Short Form Videos. Select the strongest short-form video clips from each episode, prioritizing moments with clear hooks, emotional pull, practical value, and viral potential. Complete rough edits and provide clear creative direction to video editors for final production.
5. Episode Trailers. Select the most compelling highlights from each episode to create a unique episode trailer that hooks the audience, sets up the story, and makes the listener or viewer want to stay through the full episode.
6. Production Coordination. Own and improve the full production pipeline from pre-production through recording, editing, QA, publishing, and post-launch analysis. Maintain schedules, track tasks, coordinate studio days, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
7. Team Collaboration. Work closely with Hala, production leadership, guest outreach, creative, video, YouTube, and social teams to keep the show moving. Provide creative direction, feedback, and follow-through so every asset supports the larger content strategy and brand vision.
8. Sound Checks. Attend and support in-person studio recordings in Austin, including sound checks, recording readiness, guest/host preparation, and on-site production support to ensure excellent audio and video quality.
9. Internal &amp;amp; Client Communications. Communicate enthusiastically and promptly with Hala, team members, guests, and stakeholders through Slack and email. Maintain the highest standards for clarity, ownership, judgement, and syntax in all communications, especially written.

**Results**
1. Finalize the end-to-end production of Young and Profiting episodes, including content editing, scripts, show notes, titles, trailers, short-form video selections, and publishing readiness.
Create compelling, story-centered content that aligns trailers, scripts, show notes, episode titles, YouTube packaging, and clips around a clear story-theme for each episode.
Identify and rough-cut the strongest short-form moments from each episode using a clear hook, story, value, and conclusion format designed for audience growth.
Maintain the accuracy of production boards daily, proactively flag blockers, and keep the team aligned from pre-production through final publication and performance review.

**Requirements**
1. 5+ years experience in podcast production, executive production, content production, or a closely related media role, with proven ownership of shows from concept through final delivery.
2. High standards. Goes the extra mile to make episodes, scripts, clips, titles, and production deliverables as strong as they can be.
3. In-House Production Experience. Must have experience supporting in-person or studio-based production and be able to tell the difference between good and bad audio/video quality, spot recording issues, and coordinate fixes quickly.
4. Organized. Plans, organizes, and schedules work in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities, manages many deliverables at once, and keeps the full production pipeline moving on deadline.
5. Strong eye for content and growth. Able to identify the best moments in a long-form conversation and turn them into compelling episodes, trailers, short-form clips, titles, and audience-growth opportunities.
6. Strategic and detail-oriented. Thinks through content strategy, competitive positioning, branding, and growth while still executing detailed production processes with minimal mistakes.
7. Austin-based / in-house. Must live in Austin, Texas and be available to work on site several days per week for studio production, creative working sessions, and close collaboration with Hala.
8. Strong writing and scripting skills. Can write clearly and articulately, shape intros, outros, solo episode scripts, show notes, and creative briefs, and maintain high standards for clarity and syntax.
