**Podcast Associate Producer

Salary: $60,000 - $72,000 commensurate with experience

**Position Overview

Situation Room Studios is looking for a dynamic audio/video wizard with strong storytelling skills to oversee and produce all aspects of our hit suite of podcasts. The ideal candidate will instinctively understand what narratives translate to social media for the biggest impact and audience growth. The job is based in Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles, but willing to consider remote work for the right candidate.

**Duties & Responsibilities

**Required Skills & Abilities

Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, political science or similar; must be able to edit video and audio, familiarity with Megaphone, Chartable, YouTube and other video and audio podcasting platforms; good with social media; skilled writer and publisher; organized and entrepreneurial; solid communication skills. Preferred: 1-2 years experience as a production assistant or administrative assistant in media or politics or in a newsroom; Ability to make cold calls and pitch ideas.
