About Radiocentre
Radiocentre is the industry body for commercial radio in the UK. We work on behalf of more than 50 stakeholders who represent over 90 per cent of commercial radio in terms of listening and revenue. Our remit also encompasses all kinds of broadcaster-owned and operated audio, including podcasts and on-demand streaming services provided by commercial radio. Our mission is to get industry influencers and decision-makers to See Radio Differently.

- Jun 3: The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity later this month will feature, among others, three trade organisations for audio - the UK's Radiocentre and Australia's Commercial Radio & Audio have an invite-only session with Professor Mark Ritson, while Sounds Profitable are also hosting a discussion.
- Mar 2: Meanwhile, in the UK, commercial radio trade organisation Radiocentre reported spend on digital ad formats has almost doubled since 2018 to £89.5mn (US $120mn), and that in 2025, UK commercial radio achieved its highest-ever advertising revenue. These revenue figures don’t include the country’s full podcast industry.
- Dec 17, 2025: The BBC's future funding model from 2028 is the subject of a green paper and public consultation from the UK government. (In the UK, "green papers" propose policy ideas for discussion and consultation). Radiocentre, the UK commercial radio trade body, has suggested that ad funding should be ruled-out; earlier this year, after considerable industry pressure, the BBC abandoned plans to place ads in its podcasts in the UK.
- Jul 23, 2025: The UK radio industry trade body, Radiocentre, is launching a campaign to show the benefit of radio advertising. Like any sensible brand, the campaign will include a podcast.
- Jun 21, 2023: UK advocacy group Radiocentre has unveiled a new logo and design. The group promotes audio owned and operated by commercial radio broadcasters, including podcasts and on-demand streaming services.
